
The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls track team travels to the Jane Astor Relays Friday at Clear Creek Amana. Mid-Prairie last competed at Williamsburg Tuesday where they were fourth with 77 points.
The Hawks had three championship events on the night including Jeorgia Evans in the 100, the distance medley with Myli Hershberger, Sophie and Ruby Miller and Kendal Landstrum and the 4×800 with Rachel Hostetler, Brooklyn Stutzman, Tessa Brokaw and Landstrum. Other top performances included Stutzman runner-up in the 1500, Hostetler third in the same event. Harper Pacha third in discus. Landstrum in the 800 and Evans in the long jump were both fourth. Fifth for Tessa Bombei in high jump and for the shuttle hurdle crew of Sophie and Ruby Miller, Olivia Schlabaugh and Bombei.
The Hawks will be joined tonight by Belle Plaine, Dubuque Hempstead, Durant, English Valleys, HLV, Iowa City West, Iowa Valley, Linn-Mar, Mount Vernon, Newton, North Linn, Pekin, Solon, Williamsburg and the home Clippers. The meet starts tonight at 4:30p.m. And continues into the evening in Tiffin.
