The Washington Demons and Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks sent their boys and girls track teams to Bob Murphy Stadium in Williamsburg Tuesday night for the Co-Ed Raider Relays.

The Washington boys finished eighth as a team with 42 points. Cedar Rapids Prairie won the meet title with 160 points. Greyson Hartman continued to sizzle in the early season shot put, winning the event again, this time with a toss of 57’4”. Other top Demon finishers included Josh Anderson second in the wheelchair 100, 200 and 400s. The Demon distance medley of Keider Gomez-Valdez, Jayfred Espinosa, Logan McDole and Tyler Alderton was third, as was the 4×100 with Gomez-Valdez, Kael Williams, Espinosa and Nate Edmonds. Williams was fourth in the 100, Hartman was fourth in the discuss. The Washington 4×800 team of McDole, Sawyer Tschantz, Alderson and Carson Ryan took fifth.

The Demon girls were 10th with 39 points. Cedar Rapids Prairie won the girls team title with 126 points. Headliners for the Washington girls included second for the 4×800 team of Kendall Hinrichsen, Lauren and Emma Horak and Iris Dahl and runner-up for the 4×100 with Layla Green, Leighton Messinger, Leighton Salazar and Jaedyn Moore. The Washington shuttle hurdle was fourth with Salazar, Green, Hinrichsen and Messinger, as was the distance medley with Salazar, Jaslyn Villa, Lauren Drahota and Horak and fourth for the 4×200 with Rachel Sands, Messinger, Eden Levetzow and Moore.

The Mid-Prairie boys were third with 62 points. Jayden Stafford swept the titles in the wheelchair 100, 200, 400 and 800 events in 19.04, 34.94, 1:07.43 and 2:21.23 respectively. Emmett Swartzentruber was a winner in the two-mile at 9:45.97. Ryan Henry went runner-up in the 100 as did Burke Berry in shot put. Preston Yutzy was third in the 3200, Tommy Miller was fourth in shot put and it was a fourth place finish for the distance medley of Nolan Jergens, Carson Humphrey, Jayse Yoder and Thomas Flynn.

The Golden Hawk girls were fourth with 77 points. The Hawks had three championship events on the night including Jeorgia Evans in the 100 at 12.59 seconds, the distance medley with Myli Hershberger, Sophie and Ruby Miller and Kendal Landstrum in 4:32.88 and the 4×800 with Rachel Hostetler, Brooklyn Stutzman, Tessa Brokaw and Landstrum in 10:01.11. Other top performances included Stutzman runner-up in the 1500, Hostetler third in the same event. Harper Pacha third in discus. Landstrum in the 800 and Evans in the long jump were both fourth. Fifth for Tessa Bombei in high jump and for the shuttle hurdle crew of Sophie and Ruby Miller, Olivia Schlabaugh and Bombei.
