A person found deceased following a single-vehicle wreck and fire in Henry County has been identified. According to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner, 48-year-old Aaron Ballatak of Mount Pleasant was found Tuesday after 11p.m., inside of a vehicle following a fire. An investigation shows that Ballatak was having a medical issue and called 911. He lost control of the vehicle, leaving the roadway and striking a utility pole, causing the vehicle to catch fire. Ballatak was found inside after the fire was extinguished. 

Responding to the scene were the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Henry County Emergency Medical Services Ambulance and the Mount Pleasant Fire Department.
