Mid-Prairie alum Clarke Latcham has had a terrific Division III Championship portion of his final track and field season. The Simpson senior started by earning All-American Rivers Conference honors at the league championship meet by scoring 4,730 points in the heptathlon to finish third. That point total was the third highest in Storm history. His top performance was runner-up in high jump.

Latcham then moved on to the NCAA Qualifier meet at Wartburg, where he placed third in the heptathlon, scoring 4,825 total points, setting a new personal record, and hitting the second highest total ever for a Simpson athlete in the event. Latcham was also the high jump winner at 1.92m.

Based on the performance at Wartburg, Latcham was invited to the NCAA Division III Championship meet at Rochester, New York, where he finished 15th overall scoring 4,545 points, earning Second-team All-American status. His best finish was ninth place in high jump. He was also named US Track and Field and Cross Country Association All-Region.

Latcham is a 2021 graduate of Mid-Prairie High School.
