Southeast Iowa veterans are invited to a dinner commemorating their service Saturday, on Vietnam Veterans Day. The Mount Pleasant monthly veterans breakfast, in conjunction with Iowa Select Farms, the Deb and Jeff Hansen Foundation, and Iowa Veterans Home are hosting a Vietnam veterans dinner at Veterans Hall, 300 W. Monroe Street in Mount Pleasant.
The schedule includes a social hour at 5 p.m., and a free will dinner at 6:30 p.m. Following the meal, Colonel Todd M. Jacobus, Iowa Director of Veterans Affairs and Commandant of the Iowa Veterans Home, will give the keynote address, along with Quilts of Valor presentations and a gun safe raffle.
