United States Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks toured several parts of Washington as a guest of Main Street Washington last week. The Representative’s office reached out to Main Street Washington requesting the tour. Local stops last Thursday included the Washington Public Library, Art Domestique, Northside Diner, LUX Suites, Elliot Realty, Washington State Bank, Central Park, and downtown murals, as well as projects that received funding from Iowa Economic Development Authority, Washington County Riverboat Foundation and Main Street Iowa including building upgrades around the square.

Miller-Meeks had several conversations with local business owners about operating a small business in rural areas.
