columbus-junction-2

The City of Columbus Junction and Iowa’s Living Roadways Community Visioning are looking for help from residents this weekend. Saturday, seven focus groups will meet to discuss transportation needs in the area at Columbus Junction City Hall. They are searching for participants who identify as mobility challenged, active recreationists, parents, youth 13 and older, youth 12 and under, and adults 65 and older.

Those who take part will be asked their opinions on local transportation options, factors that affect transportation use, where these factors are most prevalent and how they influence route and transportation choices locally.

Iowa State University is overseeing the project and will use the information gathered from the groups to help improve transportation options for the area.
