Nominations for the Washington County 4-H Hall of Fame recipients are now being accepted. Each year, a ceremony is held at the Iowa State Fair to induct volunteers, community leaders, and Extension staff who have been named to the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame. The honor is presented to those who exemplify outstanding service and dedication to the 4-H youth program across Iowa’s 99 counties. One person or couple can be nominated each year from each county. 

Last year’s 4-H Hall of Fame recipients from Washington County were Jim and Sandi Hotchkiss.

To nominate someone you feel earns the designation, send them to the Washington County Extension Office or email them to Amy Green by April 15th. Nominations should include the person or couple’s involvement and years of service to the Washington County 4-H program.
