It was a strong statistical year for the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls basketball team. The Hawks finished in the top 10 of Class 3A in 14 different team and individual categories.

As a team, Mid-Prairie’s five blocks per game were fifth most and their total of 112 blocks on the season were fourth. The Hawks were fifth best in 3A on the glass with 37 rebounds per game, their 513 total defensive rebounds were seventh most in Iowa. Mid-Prairie averaged 15 steals per game, seventh most in 3A. On offense, the Golden Hawks 59 points per game were seventh most in 3A basketball. They dished out 15 assists per contest, eighth most in 3A and their 331 total was 10th highest. The Golden Hawks were 10th best in 3A from the free throw line at 64% as a group and shot 30% from three, also 10th.

Individually, Brooklyn Schneider’s 85% mark at the free throw line placed her fifth in Class 3A. Brylee Gearhart’s 56% clip from the field was 10th best and Callie Huber’s four offensive rebounds per game were 10th most.

The Golden Hawks ended their season with a 16-6 overall record.
