Another scholarship opportunity is available for area students this spring. The Washington County Master Gardeners are offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving Washington County resident pursuing a horticultural related degree or certificate from a college or university in the state of Iowa. The application includes a one page form, short essay, and requires two letters of reference. Applications are due to the Washington County Extension Office by April 15th. The scholarship winner will be notified in early May and will be invited to attend a Master Gardener meeting after the notification.
