Jefferson County Sheriff Department was recognized with the Community Partner Award. The Community Partner Award recognizes agencies and individuals in the counties of the 8th judicial district. The Jefferson County Sheriff`s department was recognized as helpful, reliable, willing to assist new employees with background checks and assisting in High Risk Unit teams for their responsibilities.  The Jefferson County Sheriff, Bart Richmand was thanked by the Iowa Department of Correction for his work. They also could not thank the Jefferson County Sheriff department enough for their work with the county.
