The Washington Great Places Committee held a Community Celebration and Visioning Event as they celebrated a new chapter for downtown Washington. They invited community members to come together, share ideas, and collaborate to help shape the future of the vibrant district. The event was held Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Art Domestique Gallery, and featured a celebration of the Cultural and Entertainment District designation, opportunities for the public to share their vision and ideas for the future art and events in downtown Washington. Attendees provided feedback on a variety of questions including, ‘What is your favorite piece of art in downtown Washington?,’ ‘Where else should art be installed and what should it be?,’ and ‘What types of arts or activities would you like to see more of?’.
