Applications are now being accepted for the 2025 Paint Iowa Beautiful Awards. The program provides free paint to a variety of public service and community betterment projects across the state. Keep Iowa Beautiful and Diamond Vogel have offered free paint over its 20-year partnership. The program estimated enough paint has been awarded to cover five-million square feet of surfaces for 1,438 community projects in Iowa. Nonprofit, public and private entities are eligible to apply for projects that will help keep up the appearance of public facing buildings, facilities and parks in the state. Recipients can purchase paint, stain, and primer. Applications are due February 14, 2025.

During the last award cycle, the Lone Tree Community Foundation was selected for park equipment, tables, and pavilions, as well as the senior dining entrance; and the Morning Sun Hometown Pride was selected for12 large picnic tables, the shelter house wooded areas, and polyurethane to protect new bathroom stalls inside shelter house.
