The Washington County Board of Supervisors heard from the IT Committee at their meeting last Tuesday. Committee member Cyndie Sinn about the progress the committee has made, “The plan was to add members to better represent and we’re starting off with what I call the main network. We have the administrative side and we have the public safety side. So we’ve added Nathan Repp, County Attorney, Jared Schneider, Sheriff, Marcus Fedler as a representative of the Board of Supervisors, Tim Smith the Sheriff’s IT Administrator, and Kyle Evans the Sheriff’s IT Admin Assistant. Then we discussed what we could do moving forward. The consensus of the committee for the first short-term goal was to accomplish hiring a new IT staff member, to compliment myself, Tim, and Kyle.” The Committee will be finalizing the application form for a full-time IT specialist in the next few weeks.
