
At the Washington City Council meeting on Tuesday, the council appointed a new City Clerk. Mayor Pro-Tem Millie Youngquist made the announcement, “The appointment of Amanda Waugh as our new City Clerk, and Amanda is here today in the front row, soaking it all in, getting to know people, and we are happy to have her.” Waugh will begin as City Clerk on November 27th and was approved unanimously by the Council. The City had a total of 22 applicants for the position. Waugh replaces previous Washington City Clerk Sally Hart who stepped down from the position earlier this year.
