At their Tuesday meeting, the Washington City Council heard a request from Washington Fire Chief Brendan DeLong, regarding the purchase of equipment, “This is something that has been talked about for a long time, we will use the railroad funds, it’s well-equipped for what we need it to do. Four months to get it, it was built in Kansas.” The cost of the trailer totals $72,015 and will be housed in the new addition of the fire department.
