This year’s edition of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk football team added their names to the record books as a group, reaching the top 10 in school history in four different statistical categories.
These Hawks were second all-time for most passing yards in a single season with 1,566, trailing only the 2013 team’s total of 1,668. They completed the second post passes, 121, behind that same 2013 group with 127. Their team completion percentage of 57.6% is fifth in school history, 2021 holds the all-time mark for efficiency at 61.2%. Mid-Prairie piled up 3,338 total yards this season, tied for ninth most in a single year with the 2004 club. The all-time yardage mark belongs to the 2008 team with 4,718 total yards.
Helping the Hawks reach those heights this year were individual stat leaders junior quarterback Brady Weber who was 117 of 196 in the pass game for 1,497 yards with 20 touchdowns and six interceptions. On the ground, sophomore back Hudson Ehrenfelt racked up 1,336 yards on 227 carries and 12 scores. junior receiver Cobi Hershberger hauled in 29 passes, tops on the team, for 331 yards and three scores.
