The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk golf teams finished the River Valley portion of their calendar Monday with duals against Durant. The Golden Hawk girls were a winner in Kalona 251-261. The Wildcats swept the medals with rounds of 53 from Lauren Callison and 58 from Kierra Hahn. Mid-Prairie had their junior varsity team step into the spotlight Monday, as the varsity traveled to Williamsburg for a playoff practice round. The young Hawks didn’t disappoint, led by freshman Delani Blum’s 59. She spoke with KCII Sports after the round about her day. “There really wasn’t a best hole today, but I shot a 59, best I’ve shot. My driving was the good thing today. I feel like my teammates played really well. Definitely one of our best scores for JV.”

Other Mid-Prairie cards included Madison Witthoft and Lilly Miller each with 60, Drea McCain 72, Paiton Chittick 80 and Ariel Kaufman 93. Mid-Prairie is now 24-6 entering the West Liberty Invite Tuesday.
