The Washington County Board of Health met in regular session on Thursday. The board overheard a pair of financial reports from the environmental and public health departments. The board approved an update to the Procedure Manual for Grant to Counties and discussed the changes that have been made to the Iowa Cottage Food Law.
Washington Board of Health member Emily Tokheim also confirmed that there will be an open position on the board of health on January 1st, 2023 and that a recommendation to fill the impending hole could be made by November.
The next Washington Board of Health meeting will be on Thursday, October 27th, at noon on the fifth floor of the Federation Bank Building in Washington.
