The Lone Tree girls had a hard time keeping up with English Valleys on Monday falling 58-37, but in the defeat senior post player Kasey Chown made history.

The 5’8’’ forward collected eight rebounds to surpass 2008 graduate Jalynn Quigley on the all time rebounding school record, previously set at 626. Chown now has 627 and the four year player has led the Lions in that department each of the last four seasons by bringing in 159 boards her freshman year, 192 as a sophomore, 136 last season, and 140 and counting this winter. In 73 career games played, Chown has averaged 8.6 rebounds an outing. As for the contest against the Bears (14-2), the home Lions trailed 27-19 at half and a 22-8 EV third quarter put the game out of reach. Lone Tree out rebounded their opponent 34-31, but was minus 16 in the turnover margin. To go along with being active on the glass, Chown led the offense with 16 points.

Lone Tree dropped to 5-12 with the loss.
