A Washington man was recently granted a deferred judgment on an amended Linn County charge.

Court records show 42-year-old Jason Robert Geyer pleaded guilty to assault, a simple misdemeanor, and was placed on one year of probation and ordered to pay a civil penalty. Upon fulfillment of the probation conditions and payment of any fines and court costs Geyer shall be discharged from probation without an entry of judgment. He was originally charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon, an aggravated misdemeanor for a June 21st incident. He was arrested by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for this charge in July.
