A strong end to the season helped the number of players on the all district list go up for the Washington Demon football team and recently they had 10 individuals recognized by Class 3A, District 5.

Four players were named to the first team headlined by defensive MVP in Lucas Kroll. The 6’3’’ 200 pound senior finished second in the league with 84.5 tackles and added one interception. On the other side of the ball, Kroll reached the endzone six times by hauling in 17 passes for 405 yards. Ethan Patterson, Jacob Miller, and Ethan Zieglowsky rounded out the first team selections. Patterson finished second in the district with 25 touchdowns and he had the best quarterback rating with 118. The junior completed 99 of 194 throws for 1,553 yards and added 665 on the ground. Miller was his main target on the outside with 22 receptions for 234 yards and two scores while adding 22.5 tackles as a defensive back. Zieglowsky recorded 38 tackles, two interceptions, and scored twice on 276 receiving yards. 

Second team selections included Kasen Bailey, Brayden Hartman, and Kole Williams. Bailey caught 10 passes for 199 yards and reached pay dirt twice. Hartman and Williams anchored an offensive line that opened up 2,703 total yards of offense. Hartman finished with 21 tackles and Williams had 15.5. Honorable mention selections included John Prochaska, James Strabala, and Kaisen Rude. Prochaska brought in 12 throws for 300 yards and two touchdowns, Strabala had 58.5 tackles at the linebacker spot, and Rude was a mainstay on the offensive line. 

Washington finished 4-5 overall and third in the league with a 3-2 district mark.
