
A Tama man was arrested following a vehicle pursuit through Washington and Johnson counties Sunday.
The Washington County Communications Center received reports at approximately 9:22 a.m. of a stolen vehicle from Henry County located traveling northbound on Highway 218 near Highway 22. The vehicle fled and was eventually stopped by Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies southeast of Iowa City at the intersection Highway 6 and Vincent Avenue Southeast. Twenty-three year-old Bukuru Pacific was arrested and charged with felony eluding, a class D felony, possession of marijuana first offense, a serious misdemeanor, and traffic violations for driving under suspension and speeding. Henry County was notified that the vehicle was recovered. The West Liberty Police Department assisted. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
