An Ottumwa woman was arrested on a warrant out of Washington County Friday.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office received reports at approximately 3:04 p.m. of officers out with a subject in Newton wanted on a Washington County warrant. Thirty-three year-old Kolette Christine Daniels was arrested on charges of possession with intent to deliver more than five grams of methamphetamine, a class B felony.

A search warrant was carried out on October 14, 2019 at Daniels’ previous residence in the 3000 block of Old White Way in Ainsworth where it was determined that she had been conspiring with 50-year-old Nicholas James Dittrich and 37-year-old Curtis Anthony Cousins to distribute methamphetamine in the southeast Iowa area. Police found about 19 grams of methamphetamine, digital scales, packaging materials, U.S. currency, and a stolen handgun. Dittrich was arrested on August 11th for conspiracy to distribute more than 5 grams of methamphetamine. Cousins was sentenced to 210 months in federal prison this April for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm.

Bond has been set at $25,000 cash only in Daniels’ name only. KCII will bring you more information as it becomes official.
