A Washington man has been ordered to serve 180 days in the Washington County Jail for violating his probation.

Court documents show that on April 16th 38-year-old Billy Edward Stage was found in contempt of court. He shall receive credit for time served since his arrest on probation violation. Stage must also obtain a substance abuse evaluation and undergo all treatment recommended by the health care professionals or probation officer, and he shall continue to serve his probation. He must also pay all Category B restitution.

Stage was arrested in February for violating his probation on class D felony charges of second degree theft and forgery. Last September he pleaded guilty and was given a suspended five-year prison sentence to serve three years probation for the offenses that occurred in February of 2020.
