Regional play starts up tonight for the Washington girls’ basketball team when they make a trip to Oskaloosa for a class 4A first round matchup.

The Demons closed the regular season 2-18 and fell to Keokuk 42-22 on Friday to finish fifth in the Southeast Conference. Anna Nacos is the senior leader with 8.9 points a game and Alex Murphy handles the rebounding department with six a night. Oskaloosa is 7-14 and nabbed seventh in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The Indians are sputtering with just two wins in their last 12 games including a 87-33 loss to Grinnell last week. Presley Blommers leads them with 13 points a contest and Aubree Blanco adds 5.5 boards. These two teams met on January 16th with Oskaloosa winning 50-30.

The playoff action begins at 7 p.m. tonight at Oskaloosa High School. Listen to the game on FM 106.1 KCII and kciiradio.com starting at 6:30 p.m.
