Bragging rights in Henry County belong to the Winfield-Mt. Union boys’ basketball team, as the Wolves welcomed WACO on Saturday for a Southeast Iowa Super Conference matchup and rolled to a 48-15 victory.

It was slow going early with the Wolves up just 7-4 after one and 18-10 at the break. A 19-3 third woke up the WMU offense and they cruised to the 33-point win. Three players were in double figures led by Abram Edwards with 19 points. Cam Buffington and Bryce Wade each had 14 points and eight rebounds. The Warriors shot just 17% from the floor with Simeon Reichenbach registering nine points and three steals.

WMU improves to 6-6 overall and they gear up for Lone Tree (0-8) tonight. WACO turned around to play #1 ranked North Linn last night and fell 84-28. They are now 1-12 and travel to Cardinal (6-5) on Friday.
