The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk girls basketball team met Sigourney Tuesday in a scrimmage at Pekin High School as part of the Panthers preseason jamboree. The scrimmage was one half in length and doesn’t count on either team’s overall record. Mid-Prairie led 21-9 after one quarter and ended the night with a 28-15 victory. The Golden Hawks were led on the night by Maddie Nonnenmann with 11 points, Myah Lugar added 10. Mid-Prairie will open their season Tuesday when they host Durant at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman.
