Their first Southeast Conference wins of the season are for the taking tonight for the Washington softball team when they make a trip to Keokuk for a doubleheader.

The Demons are 3-8 overall and 0-4 in the SEC through two weeks of the season. They got back in the win column Friday with a 4-3 road victory over New London, but fell to Highland 6-4 the next morning in the Eddie Jones Memorial Tournament. Seven players had one hit including one RBI from Kellie Dallmeyer, Anna Venenga, and Cameron Malichky. Kaitlyn Mitchell and Kinsey Duwa each had a pair of hits in the Highland game.

Keokuk is 2-9 overall and 1-3 in the league. Kayleigh Zanger is their top bat with a .579 average and four RBI while Abby Thompson leads them in the circle with a 4.87 ERA.

All of the action begins at 5:30 p.m. tonight at Joyce Park in Keokuk. Listen to the doubleheader on FM 106.1 KCII.
