A record over a century old was broken in Washington on Valentine’s Day when temperatures dropped. According to the National Weather Service, the record low temperature for February 14th in Washington had been set at 10 degrees below zero in 1905. On Friday, the mercury plummeted to 11 degrees below zero. The wind chill Friday morning fell to 19 degrees below zero.
