Very cold wind chills are hitting eastern Iowa, remember to cover up skin and wear layers to protect yourself. The National Weather Service advises wind chills could drop as low as 20 degrees below zero Friday morning. The projection is for Washington to have a wind chill of 15 below zero to start Valentine’s Day. Frostbite in such conditions could occur on exposed skin in 30 minutes or less.
