The latest chapter of the Highland and Lone Tree boys basketball rivalry on Tuesday had everything you could want. Star players, big performances, and a tight game that in the end was won by Highland 54-50. The Huskies led 14-12 after one and 29-22 at the half. Highland maintained control out of the break, stretching the lead to eight going to the fourth, down the stretch, Lone Tree made a push, but the Huskies were able to hold them off for the victory. Zack Lasek went double double with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Mason McFarland chipped in 14. Lone Tree was led by an incredible performance for Keegan Edwards, the senior went for 30 points and seven rebounds in the loss. With the victory Highland is now 18-4 on the year and completes the season sweep of the Lions while Lone Tree falls to 12-9.
