A change of city-owned buildings in Keota could lead to a new day care. The Keota City Council is entertaining the idea of making the Libertyville Savings Bank building into the new Wilson Memorial Public Library, and using the old library as a day care facility. Libertyville Savings Bank is moving into a new building in Keota between April and May and is gifting the old building to the city. Curt Burroughs says no financial or construction plans have been put in place, but the idea will continue to be brought up in city council meetings. Burroughs also says a day care facility has been a requested need from community members for quite some time. No estimated costs have been released.
