The hiring of an ambulance services director will be considered at Tuesday’s Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting. The item had been on last week’s agenda, but was delayed when the hiring committee was told that others wanted to interview the top candidates. The county is working to have a director and ambulance service in place by July 1st, as the current contract with a private company ends at midnight June 30th. In addition to a director, staff will need to be hired and equipment will need to be in place.
Also on Tuesday’s agenda is the selection of a bid for the communication towers project, supplemental employee benefits, and a lease agreement for juvenile court office space. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Washington County Courthouse.
