Mid-Prairie School District students will be traveling to Iowa City on Friday, January 10th to compete in the Future Problem Solvers regional bowl. Future Problem Solvers, also known as FPSPI, is an international competition where students from 40 states and 13 countries use their critical thinking, creative problem solving, and decision making skills to solve hypothetical future scenarios. There will be 28 Golden Hawks taking part in the event.

Second-year coach Rebecca Yoder told KCII News what skills it enhances, “I just loved that it incorporated a lot of deep thinking, creativity, but also the collaboration where the kids work together.” The next FPSPI International event will be held at the University of Massachusetts Amherst June 3rd-7th 2020.
