
The Mid-Prairie wrestling team is action for the first time in 2020 tonight when they travel to Camanche for a River Valley Conference triangular against the Indians and Northeast Goose Lake Rebels. The Hawks come into the event with an overall record of 5-4. They were last on the mat before the holidays when they finished fourth at the New London tournament December 21st. Their last dual event was 48 hours prior to that at Fort Madison against the Bloodhounds and Mount Pleasant Panthers where they earned a split beating Mount Pleasant before falling to Fort Madison. The Hawks come into the night with one ranked wrestler in their line-up. Isaac Boucher is ranked seventh in class 2A at 195lbs according to thepredicament.com.
Northeast comes into the night with an overall record of 1-5. Last time out for the Rebels they were swept in an RVC dual quad by Tipton, Anamosa and West Liberty. These two teams met a season ago in Wellman with Mid-Prairie getting a 33-12 dual win.
Camanche enters tonight with a record of 6-5. The Indians went 1-3 over the weekend at the Eddyville-Blakesburg duals. The Indians come into the night with three ranked wrestlers in their lineup including Jaxon Bussa 10th at 106lbs, Eric Kinkaid second at 132lbs and Cade Everson 10th at 160lbs. The Hawks fell to the Indians last year in Wellman 55-18. Action begins tonight at 5:30 at Camanche High School.
