keota-eagles

Starting 2020 fast was exactly what the Keota boys’ basketball team did on Tuesday night, as they roared past Colfax-Mingo 82-43.

The Eagles jumped out to a 20-6 lead after one, 44-19 at half, and never looked back in the blowout. Three players finished in double figures with JD Stout recording 34 points on 12 of 17 shooting. Luke Hammen had 19 points and Carson Sprouse chipped in with 10.

The girls hung tough for a while, but fizzled out in the second half to fall 52-30 to the Tigerhawks. The Keota boys are now 8-1 and the girls are 1-9. Both teams are back on the court tomorrow at BGM.
