Sigourney picked up a South Iowa Cedar League baseball win on Monday when they traveled to Montezuma and beat the Braves 8-0.
The game was close throughout with Sigourney leading 1-0 heading into the seventh when the Savages broke out for seven runs to provide more than enough insurance. Bo Schmidt was humming along on the bump pitching 5 2/3 innings of shutout ball and only giving up three hits. Nick Goad did some damage at the plate going 3-for-4 with two RBI and Josh Mohr added three hits with two runs scored.
Sigourney is now 5-3 and they host North Mahaska this evening.
