Highway 92 west of Columbus Junction will be closed in both directions for the next several weeks due to emergency repairs.
Louisa County Engineer Larry Roehl tells KCII News that poor underlying soils caused a culvert to fail on Highway 92 between County Road W66 and County Road X17. The failure caused the road to buckle and become unsafe to drivers. Roehl says that it could take several weeks until the road is driveable. Until then, the Iowa DOT has set up a detor that recommends taking Highway 70 to Highway 22 to access Highway 218.
