A unique opportunity awaits the Mid-Prairie baseball team this afternoon, as they will face Denison-Schleswig in Waterloo.

The Golden Hawks will play at Riverfront Stadium, the home of the Northwoods League’s Waterloo Bucks. Mid-Prairie is 5-3 and coming off of a doubleheader sweep of Tipton on Monday. Brad Tornow has been on a tear to start 2019 with a team-leading .429 batting average and 1.08 ERA in 13 innings pitched. The Monarchs are 4-3 and led by Jack Mendlik with a .348 batting average. Braiden Heiden has a 1.17 ERA in 12 innings on the bump.
