Fire hydrants will be flushed around the City of Washington starting Monday. Maintenance and Construction Superintendent JJ Bell tells KCII News that city crews will be flushing about half of the more than 400 fire hydrants across town. The process will take about eight working days. City staff will be checking the water flow, PSI, and gallons per minute on each hydrant flushed. Residents may have loss of water pressure, rusty water, or discolored water during this process.
