An insurance agent from Richland has been arrested and faces felony fraud charges. According to the Iowa Insurance Division, 45-year-old Renee Hill has been charged with fraudulent practices first degree, a class C felony, and fraudulent submissions, a class D felony. Hill is a former Iowa licensed insurance agent. The charges follow an investigation that began in May of 2018. She allegedly used a phony certificate of insurance to a customer which was later present in support of a claim for benefits pursuant an insurance policy. Hill’s license was revoked in January. She was arrested and booked into the Jefferson County Jail the last week of April.
