Over two dozen neglected horses are in need of homes. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for homes for the neglected horses. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, they have recovered 26 horses that were found to have been neglected. There have been no arrests. Authorities have now received the right to sell adopt, or otherwise dispose of the horses. They are looking for qualified people to give the animals a safe and secure home.
