The Mid-Prairie boys soccer team is back in action Monday when they travel to Danville for a non-conference match with the Bears.

Mid-Prairie has won four matches in a row, beating Anamosa 2-0, Monticello 4-3, and Columbus most recently 3-1 on Friday. In their win over the Wildcats, Mid-Prairie got a pair of goals from Ashten VanWinkle and one from Aaron Slaubaugh. On the season, VanWinkle leads the Hawks with seven goals. Nathan Cadena and Byron Yoder with two assists. In goal, Dominic Pickard has 14 saves and a 74% save percentage.

Danville enters play with an overall record of 4-4. They fell to No. 3 Burlington Notre Dame on the road a week ago 4-1. On the season the Bears are led by Tristan Miller with 11 goals, fourth most in class 1A. Roberto Carrillo leads Danville with four assists. In goal the Bears have Levi Svoboda with 42 saves and a 68% save percentage. These two teams met a year ago in Wellman with the Bears taking a 1-0 win. Action begins tonight at 5p.m. at Danville High School.
