
A Sigourney woman has been arrested after her child was found unattended seven blocks away from the family’s home. According to the Keokuk County Clerk of Courts, 34-year-old Rozilynn Gay has been charged with two counts of child endangerment after her four-year-old daughter was found unattended twice in March. The first offense was March 6th when Gay’s daughter was found alone walking near the Pizza Ranch on West Jackson Street and Highway 92, eight blocks away from their home. She was found unattended again on March 29th at the Sigourney Elementary School playground after walking seven blocks alone in the rain. A preliminary hearing for Gay has been set for April 26th.
