Soon piles of rubbish will be seen in the City of Washington for the annual spring cleaning event. The City of Washington’s spring cleanup for 2019 is April 29th through May 2nd. Residents should place items in distinct piles for pick up. All loose items need to be in a cardboard box. Carpet and construction materials have a 100-pound limit per household. A $20 sticker is required for washers, dryers, refrigerators and other appliances. A $6 sticker is needed for furniture. Stickers can be purchased at City Hall. Hazardous materials, tires, waste oil, concrete, bricks, or rocks will not be collected.
