A car fire on Highway 218 slowed traffic Tuesday afternoon. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 4:39 p.m. a car was on fire on Highway 218 near the Highway 22 ramp. The four-door car was completely engulfed in flames. Riverside Fire Department, Riverside QRS, Washington County Ambulance, Highway Patrol, and six Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. Names and condition of those involved have not been released.
