The Mid-Prairie boys and girls track and field teams wrap up the indoor portion of their track season tonight when they travel to the University of Dubuque for the River Valley Conference Indoor Championships.

At this meet a season ago, the Mid-Prairie boys crowned a pair of championship events with the 4×800 team winning conference gold and Floyd Evans taking the title in the 800.

The Mid-Prairie girls were not at this event a year ago but had a strong showing in their first meet of the 2019 season at Iowa State. The Golden Hawks had one champion on the day with Marie Hostetler taking gold in the 3000 with a time of 10:19.93. Other top finishes for the Hawks included Amber Swart 15th in the 60m dash, Sidney Davis 72nd in the 60m hurdles, Mitzi Evans seventh in the 800, Moriah Brase 48th in the 1500, Tori Boyse 19th in the shot put, eighth place for the 4×400 team of Angelina Evans, Abbagail Evans, Sarah Meader and Mitzi Evans, 32nd for the sprint medley team of Cassidy Rourke, Colby Brown, Rylee Vercande and Angelina Evans, 32nd for the 4×100 team of Amber Swart, Sidney Davis, Colby Brown and Cassidy Rourke, and 36th for the 4×800 team of Jill Owen, Brittany Kinsinger, Ella Cadena and Anna Nafziger.
