This year’s Highland boys’ basketball season was full of its share of adversity, but one constant remained throughout: junior Zack Lasek.

At the end of the season, Lasek was the conference’s leading scorer with 20.5 points per game.  His scoring success was partially due to his league-leading 55.6 percent from the field.  On top of that, he also led the conference in total rebounds with 222 and finished second in the league in blocked shots with 38.

Lasek’s stellar season also put him into Highland’s thousand-point club as a junior.  Expect him to be right back in the thick of it a season from now.
