The Lone Tree boys’ basketball team had three guys named to this year’s all-conference teams for the north division of the Southeast Iowa Superconference.

Keegan Edwards started off the Lion selections with a spot on the first team.  Edwards was great in his junior season, putting up 16.1 points per game as the conference’s sixth-leading scorer.  On top of that, he was fourth in the conference in total rebounds (155), second in assists (117; 16th in Class 1A), and second in steals (49).

The Lions also had two honorable mentions in seniors Caleb Viers and Austin Marshek.  Those two were each second and third on the team, respectively, in both scoring and rebounding.  Viers led the team in field goal percentage by shooting a ridiculous 47.3 percent, while Marshek was second in both steals and blocked shots.

After an 8-11 season, the Lone Tree careers of five seniors, Conner Coppinger, Bryce Houser, Avery Knock, Austin Marshek and Caleb Viers, are now done.  The remaining 10 players, led by a core of Keegan Edwards, Brady Dauber and Harmon Miller, will return next season.
